Based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota The Situation has released two CD's already and is working on their third. "Born in Reverse", their second independent release has twelve diverse tracks that will take you back to what Rock n Roll was and can be. At first listen you notice the strong song development and distinct sound. Though reminisint of eighty's rock they definitely have evolved the sound to one that is truly unique. From the pop rock feel of "A Girl Like You" and "I got a Girl" to the harder edge of "One of a Kind" all the way to the rock baled "The One", The Situation keeps their drive going and will keep you listening and wanting more. I definitely can't wait to hear more from this fun and lively rock band from the mid-west and I highly recommend "Born in Reverse" to anyone who likes Rock n Roll and having good times! Review By: Vicky Burdick Rating:  The 1st time I heard THE SITUATION's 2nd CD, 'Born In Reverse', I couldn't get past that 1st song, 'A Girl Like You'. There was just something about it that hooked me & I had to keep hitting the 'back' button on my CD player to listen to it again & again! I realized as I listened to the rest of the CD that there were quite a few 'catchy' tunes & that the 'hook' would grab me on some songs making me want to dissect the lyrics finding a sad love story or a 'situation' that I could fully relate to. There seems to be something for everyone on this CD. 'A Girl Like You' & 'Tax Evasion' are tunes you'd hear on Top 40 radio, while the only ballad on the disc, 'The One', brought tears to my eyes with it's beautiful keyboard accompaniment; something totally different than the other pop/rock songs on the disc. Then 'That's Alright' comes in there with a punk/surfer kind of feel to it & 'And So Tonight' is quite a bit heavier & really rocks out! The last track, 'Ester's Place', an instrumental, has a lot of fun guitars in it. This CD is catchy, upbeat & will leave you with lyrics stuck in your head, so it's very worth your money.
